AIR CONDITIONING BLUES
Our air conditioner in the Worship Center will have to be replaced.
So, we will have “casual Sunday” this week and you are urged to wear comfortable, loose clothing for this Sunday’s worship.
Again and for the foreseeable future, we will be worshipping in the Parish Hall this Sunday instead of the Nave. We could use some volunteers to help set up chairs Sunday morning at 9:30am. If you can help, please just show up. Thank you!
Pastoral Care for July
JULY POTLUCK THIS WEEK
The July Potluck Supper will be held on Wednesday, the 11th at 6:30PM after the Evening Eucharist. Since we’re having such hot weather, we’d like to serve cold foods such as pasta salads, potato salads, tossed sales, fruit, chips and dip, etc., so that we don’t need to turn on the ovens. So please plan to join us and bring food to share such as the ones mentioned above as well as desserts and jugs of ice tea and lemonade. A signup sheet will be in the Parish Hall this Sunday, July 8th. Any questions, please speak to Beverly Gosnell.
THE BIG CHILL
Ginny has signed up to raise money for The Shalom Project’s Big Chill event on Sunday, July 15th. Her goal is to raise $1500.00 for The Shalom Project through donations on her fundraising page. Help keep Ginny off the ice by donating today. All donations are welcomed and appreciated. https://theshalomprojectnc.networkforgood.com/projects/54644-ginny-wilder-s-fundraiser
Legos, legos, legos!
Do you have legos or other building blocks at home that aren’t being used or that you are tired of stepping on? If you have answered yes, then read on! We are collecting legos and other building blocks for a new program that we will start in the fall for our kids in Sunday school. A bigger announcement will be coming about Sunday school but for now, we could really use your legos and building blocks. The more, the merrier. Please pack your legos in Ziploc bags and bring them to the church. We will be collecting them all summer
