Do you have legos or other building blocks at home that aren’t being used or that you are tired of stepping on? If you have answered yes, then read on! We are collecting legos and other building blocks for a new program that we will start in the fall for our kids in Sunday school. A bigger announcement will be coming about Sunday school but for now, we could really use your legos and building blocks. The more, the merrier. Please pack your legos in Ziploc bags and bring them to the church. We will be collecting them all summer.
Bike MS: Tour to Tanglewood 2018
Bike MS Team Fundraising Page for Team Irene
We’ve formed a team for Bike MS because we want to experience a great ride and help the National MS Society fund research, advocate for change and help people with MS live their best lives. We believe in this cause. Can we count on your support?
Bike MS is a physical challenge for cyclists of every level, but it’s so much more than just a ride. The camaraderie, passion, and memories that come from sharing this experience with our team will stay with us for a lifetime. Bike MS is a weekend-long and LIFE-long opportunity to make a difference in your own life, and in the world. It’s a group effort that transcends personal accomplishment and touches the lives of the thousands of people affected by MS in our community. Join us! It’s more than a ride—it’s Bike MS.
Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms, which range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
Join our team!
Your gift helps support cutting-edge research and programs and services for everyone impacted by MS. Ending MS means no one will receive an MS diagnosis again. Every dollar helps. Every connection matters.
COMING SOON: WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS VIA MailChimp. MailChimp is another progam for sending out emails, newsletters, etc. The reason for the move is its more compatible connection with our new website. Furthermore, it seems to be a little more flexible program to use.
Be on the lookout for a welcome letter from the church via MailChimp. It is our hope that everyone on this current “Icontact” account will be transitioned into the new program. But as with all new programs, we may have to adjust things accordingly!

We are very pleased to announce a new initiative, Book Build: Fostering Connections by Building Collections, which is focused on infusing the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School libraries with new books. Among the most-needed reading materials in our schools are culturally relevant titles, books published in the last three to five years, and multiple copies of popular/high interest books. With Book Build, 25,000 new books(approximately 308 per school) will be infused into all Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School libraries through the fall semester of 2020. In addition, the Bookmarks in Schools program will arrange author visits, volunteer help, and funding for media assistant support to help process the new books during the semester in which they are received.
