The season of Lent is a time of listening - to the voice of God in prayer, to the pangs in our heart that lead us to repentance, and to the cries of those in need of justice and care. On March 11, join the Rev'd Erika Takacs for a Lenten retreat (click here to register), where we will listen in a very different way. Not only will we spend time in meditation and quiet prayer, but we will also listen for the voice of God in music. Our morning together will be threaded through with opportunities to meditate with music and to be curious about how that music might invite you into a different experience of God's love. No musical expertise is required, just a willing heart and the desire to spend some time in God's presence. All are welcome.
The Rev’d Erika L. Takacs is an Episcopal priest, teacher, and presenter. As a priest, she has served parishes in Chicago, Philadelphia, and Alexandria, VA. A 2007 graduate of the Virginia Theological Seminary, Erika is also a musician and holds degrees from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and Westminster Choir College. She is currently working on a degree in counseling. Outside of her work and her family, her three great loves are the music of J.S. Bach, reading (of all kinds), and baseball.
